Who we are!

Kids Cuts & Crafts is a small business run by two sisters who happen to love what they do. Anyone who has attempted to cut hair on a moving child knows the difficulty that presents. We have pride in what we do and each and every child gets the same red carpet treatment here at Kids Cuts & Crafts. Kids Cuts & Crafts was featured in the Metro West Daily News because of our unique take on cutting hair. Here's a "clipping" of what they had to say:

For some young children, a haircut can be a most unkind cut.

Being in a strange building with a strange person lopping off locks they’ve become attached to might be cause for a little anxiety.

To help ease those concerns, Carolyn and Jasmine Kalfayan have started Kids Cuts & Crafts in Stow. As its name implies, the business offers haircuts and crafts to its youthful clients. They can create crafts either before their haircut or afterward. They can also come in and create crafts without getting a haircut. Or get a haircut without creating crafts. The bottom line, for the Kalfayans, is that the child has a good experience.

"We were going to use the back room as an employee break room," says Carolyn. "Then I thought, ‘Let’s give something back to the community. Let’s do something where a child can come here and have an incentive.’

"I know a lot of parents have a hard time getting their children to come in for a haircut, but if I have something else to offer them, like crafts, the parents can say to the kids, ‘If you get a haircut, you can go in back and do sand art.’ "
